The International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence (IJCAI) is the main international gathering of researchers in AI worldwide.
It has been held biennially in odd-numbered years since 1969, with the major objective being the dissemination of information and cutting-edge research on Artificial Intelligence (AI).
This year it will be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina from July 25th to July 31st, 2015.
The Know-Center, represented by Eduardo Veas and Cecilia di Sciascio as the authors of two papers accepted to the conference, will contribute by presenting two papers at the following workshops:
The Know-Center paper titled “Interactive Topic Analysis with Visual Analytics and Recommender Systems” describes an approach to interactive topic analysis, as an information discovery conversation with a recommender system. A model is described supporting this approach, furthermore an evaluation comparing interactive topic analysis with state-of-the-art topic analysis methods is presented and discussed.
Here, Know-Center will present a paper titled “Interactive Preference Elicitation for Scientific and Cultural Recommendations” which is about a visual interface developed on the basis of control and transparency to elicit preferences in the scientific and cultural domain. Within the paper, a collection of items is ranked with a controllable text analytics model using it as implicit preference for content based recommendations by integrating user feedback.
